Everything between your first email and your flight home
We are a licensed tour operator, which means we hold the bookings, contract the guides and answer the phone at 2 a.m.
What we handle
Tailored itineraries
Written by the specialist who will look after your booking, usually within two working days of your first email.
Licensed guides
Every guide is nationally licensed and specialised — art historians in Florence, architecture guides in Barcelona.
Flights and transfers
High-speed rail, ferries and private drivers arranged and reconfirmed 48 hours before each leg.
Hotels and lodges
Contracted rates at properties we have slept in ourselves, from canal-house guesthouses to grand hotels.
Insurance and permits
Museum passes, timed-entry slots, city taxes and travel insurance handled before you arrive.
24-hour support
One WhatsApp number, answered by our own staff in Paris for the whole time you are in Europe.
Four steps, one specialist
Tell us the shape of the trip
Dates, how long, who is travelling, and what you would rather avoid.
We draft an itinerary
A day-by-day plan with hotel options and a firm price, usually inside two working days.
Adjust, then confirm
Two or three rounds of changes are normal. A deposit of €250 per traveller holds everything.
Travel with one contact
Your specialist stays with the booking, and a local team meets you at every arrival.
Brochures & trip notes
The terms, in plain English
A deposit of €250 per traveller confirms your booking; the balance falls due 60 days before departure. For bookings made inside 60 days the full amount is payable at confirmation. Every payment is covered by our APST financial guarantee until you travel.
Name corrections and date changes are free up to 60 days before departure, subject to hotel and airline availability. Inside 60 days we pass on supplier charges at cost, plus €150 per booking.
More than 60 days before departure: deposit retained. 59–30 days: 40% of the total. 29–15 days: 70%. 14 days or fewer: 100%. Where a supplier refunds us, we pass that refund on in full.
Insurance is required for every traveller on guided journeys. We can add a policy covering medical treatment, evacuation and cancellation for €120 per traveller for trips up to 14 days.
If we need to substitute a hotel or reroute a journey we will tell you before departure and offer a like-for-like alternative or a refund of the difference. Strikes, ferry cancellations and seasonal closures are handled the same way.
Raise anything on the ground with your guide first — most things we can fix the same day. Written complaints should reach us within 28 days of your return and we reply within 14 days.
